Popular, intriguing and arguably... Extraordinary. Welcome to not one, but two of the most unorthodox of cafes available in Ikebukuro, Japan. While they both share the street by facing each others, these two sweets giver hold definitely more than a simple espresso and piece of cake for you to enjoy.
Bought and founded by one of the most severely strict and rich school principals of Japan. Not only does it serves a purpose as a heaven for sweets and coffee amateurs, but also as a small, rehabilitation service for the baddest of bad kids.
School thieves, delinquents, hooligans, rebels and not to mention your everyday hardcore school slacker. Anyone signed on the list of naughtiest, naughty kids are automatically given the second chance to renew what they flamboyantly screwed up.
Only in Japan, of course.
On the east is Dolce. Where girls are your maid and strive against their patience to give you the finest of services. Sweets, tea, and pastries all on silver platter. While on the west is Sakura Cafe. Boys trading in their baggy pants and chains in exchange for the handsomest of suits. Their trays giving no more then the sweetest of soft drinks and the bitterest of espressos. Needless to say, a rivalry has begun to build in between the genders. Events; parties; competitions and even cosplay, any tricks are allowed to leave this twisted full time work and finally attain freedom. Much like a promotion. None is able to dare think of a way out by further rule breaking. For let's just say, the disciplinary back room is successful in reminding the guide of conduct.
Working here with free will or not, get ready for the rehabilitation of your life.
